About Tuxford

The Tuxford Community is one of many Metro Atlanta Jim Cowart developments. The first residents moved into a home on Dunoon Drive in the fall of 1987. The neighborhood grew rapidly and was quickly built out with 376 homes. The pool and tennis court amenities were built in the spring of 1989.

Since acquiring the neighborhood and transitioning from Mr. Cowart, we (the Tuxford Homeowners Association) have been an entirely volunteer-run organization. Membership in the Swim and Tennis Association was completely voluntary, until November 1999 when membership became mandatory. Full members are entitled to use of the swimming pool and tennis courts.
